Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, milk, eggs, nutmeg, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Mix additional sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. While warm, dip muffin tops into the mixture.
  7. Return muffins to the oven for 2–3 minutes to crisp.
