  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 8 slices of turkey or chicken deli meat
  • 8 slices cheese (cheddar, Swiss, Gruyère, or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 2 eggs (beaten for egg wash)
  • Flour (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to achieve even thickness.
  3. Place one sheet of pastry on the baking sheet and layer with turkey/chicken slices and cheese. Spread mustard if desired.
  4. Cover with the second pastry sheet and seal the edges by pressing down firmly; crimp with a fork for decoration.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
