  • 2 1/4 teaspoons (7g) active dry yeast or instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons (10g) salt
  • 1 3/4 cups (415ml) warm water
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary leaves
  • Coarse sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm water with yeast and let sit for about five minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture; stir until combined.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and transfer to an oiled baking pan. Stretch evenly, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sea salt and rosemary leaves.
  5. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing.
